Protective cover for the chuck of lathes consisting of a steel frame filled with a fully impact-resistant and scratch-free polycarbonate screen. The protective cover is mounted on a vertically movable support with gas spring and safety switch. This model protects the operator against direct contact with the machine's chuck, coolant and chips. The semicircular protective cover allows placement close to the chuck. The safety switch switches the machine off with the guard open.
