Protective cover for the chuck of a wood lathe consisting of an upward-tilting shield sliding over a tubular structure and equipped with a gas spring and a safety switch. The screen consists of a steel frame filled with impact-resistant and scratch-free polycarbonate or safety glass. The structure to which the shield is attached is mounted at the rear of the machine. The screen can be supplied with LED lamp (LLS7). This model protects the operator against direct contact with the workpiece, coolant and chips.
